Suspended ceilings
A suspended ceiling creates a gap between itself and the main ceiling (the floor above), making a perfect space to conceal ducts, pipes, cables and wiring. … Suspended ceilings provide better sound-proofing than drywall ceilings, helping to reduce noise in the room.
MF ceilings
Plasterboard ceilings give your ceiling a nice smooth appearance which, in some people’s opinion, is worth every extra penny you may need to spend in terms of labour to get there. If you want to achieve sweeping curves or seamless slopes, again, plasterboard is likely to be your best option. The modern, minimal look can not give you a smooth ceiling, but can serve as fire protection in the building
Partitions
With all sorts of different terminology being used for example plasterboard systems, partitioning, metal stud systems, ceiling systems,Acoustic and fire rated wall systems, plasterboard partitions, it can sometimes feel impossible to know where to start.
We can start with one area of expertise – metal stud systems. I get asked the question on site all the time “are you using timber or metal for your framework?” the answer is simple, it offers strong, durable internal walls whilst also remaining lightweight. Also, the steel framing is non-consumable, offering a higher degree of fire safety.
Rendering, thin coat / monocouch / dashing
Aside from protecting the brickwork against wind and rain, rendering your walls can make the building more efficient. Around 30 per cent of the energy used to heat a home is lost through its external walls.
2 coat plastering
Plastering creates a durable and robust finish to existing drywall. A chemical reaction occurs when water escapes from the cement mixture. This reaction strengthens the bond, which is responsible for making the plastered walls stronger. Plastering creates an even surface for the application of paints.
